An overview of the New Zealand Electricity Industry
Join the Special Interest Group for Immigrant Engineers and Daniel Muller (Electrical Engineering Group) for an informative overview of the electricity industry, the regulatory frameworks and standards applicable in New Zealand.
Daniel Müller immigrated from South Africa to New Zealand in 2007.
As an immigrant engineer, he understands the challenges that new electrical workers face after arriving in New Zealand. Many countries, including South Africa, utilise the same nominal voltage and frequency for their electrical installations; however, the statutory and regulatory framework, and standards applicable here are different.
Daniel developed a mindmap to provide an overview of the “Electrical Landscape’ in New Zealand. His presentation aims to give an overview of the Act, Regulations, Standards, and Role Players in the NZ Electrical Industry.
He will also talk about the importance of networking and make some suggestions on how to develop your professional network.
The presentation is open to all, but very useful for immigrant electrical engineers.
